I loved it!!! Very Hot! Very Sexy!

  • Kae Says:

Johnny Carter was a rebel that was not accepted at CMT until he was much older.
Johnny took a NIN song and made it his own.
June and Johnny Carter would have loved what Adam did with this song.

  • jenna Says:

who originally recorded ring of fire in the style Adam sang it in???

  • Paradox Says:

Hey Mae, who is Johnny Carter??? I think you meant Johnny Cash??? might wanna make sure you put the right name.

  • Terry Says:

Adam Lambert rocked this. Took me back to when alternative rock had busted on the scene in the 80’s. Thinking The Cure, Echo and the Bunnymen. Keep it going Adam. Stay true to yourself.

  • Loston Says:

LOVED IT! LOVED IT! LOVED IT! And I also like country music. Reminded me of the good old days of the cure (one of my favorite bands) but so much better. I have watched this several times over. Keep the nailpolish, keep the look, eep the uniqueness – you rock! Now I will watch this season, just tuned in for the first time today and was so impressed I had to see what you had done prior. The second you get an album out, I’m buying it!!!

  • DJ Says:

    Adam Lambert-Ring of Fire -

Absolutely amazing. Haven’t loved a song this much since I was in college. I want to buy it and CRANK IT UP UNTIL THE CEILING BLOWS OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP GOING ADAM !!!!

  • DJ Says:

PS Loved the clean cut look *as well as* the rocker look ~ You’ve got it all Adam. You can do both, and don’t have to choose.

    Amazing versatilty and range.

You’re going to be a superstar ! Enjoy it !!

Your family must be blown away, and so proud.

  • Laurie Says:

Adam is a great. I’m convinced that he is a musical genious, comparable to all the greats! Reminds me of a young Elvis. This song reminds me of Prince’s uniqueness in Purple Rain mixed with a bit of Jim Morrison. Keep it up! I also would buy a CD of his right now!

  • Speaker of truth Says:

I hope you burn in hell for writing that song. Johnny Cash, not Carter, is spinning around in his grave. Hey Laurie Jim would have punched him in the face for even touching that song.

  • No Truth from Truth Says:

THIS KID IS THE MOST ORIGINAL SINCE ELVIS, WAKE UP, HE WILL BE A GIGGGGGGGANTIC STAR……..NO BODY IS THIS FRESH ON THE PROFESSIONAL SIDE EVEN TODAY

  • Mansooj Says:

Joe: Thanks for the xref to the Kaplan version. Very cool, as well, but vocally performed quite differently. I personally think the quality of Adam’s voice surpasses Kaplan’s, and that’s a live performance vs a studio massaged one. Still, I’m more than happy to have both to listen to. Good stuff is good stuff, and all to rare.

  • Mansooj Says:

Speaker of truth (not too presumptious, eh?): I like to think Cash would have been impressed by Adam’s performance, seeing as how he was a unique artist himself. Such people tend to lean towards appreciation and away from petty territorialism when it comes to remixing music since they’re secure in their own artistry. It’s mentioned frequently by the trio/quartet on the judging panel that you shouldn’t touch a classic unless you can knock it out of the park. Adam batted the thing to the moon. Nuff sed.

  • Ganymeade Says:

Bravo, Adam!!! You’ve got “IT”! Best of luck to you. I have a feeling you are going to be a mega-star!

  • Jenny K Says:

loved the song!! this version was done by Dilana on Rock Star INXS or Rock Star Supernova. Adam did it WWWWAAAYYYY better than she did!!! I think Johnny Cash would’ve loved it!! Look how he changed “Hurt” before his death…..He wasn’t a follow the leader kind of guy, and neither is Adam!! GO ADAM!!!!

  • spence Says:

June and Johnny would have LOVED this…

  • konni from germany Says:

oh my god THe King of Countrymusic would stay up from his his grave like a zombie and he bite when he hear that crap.

  • Kelly Says:

The BEST version of that song I have ever heard. He is HOT. I am a 36 yr old mother of 2 and he made me horny! I know he is gay, but damn, he can sign and that version was fabulous!

  • mikey Says:

I stumbled on this blog looking for a download of this song. I am an OLD guy that was raised on Cash, Haggard, and Jones, and have been a Johnny Cash fan all my life. It seems that some folks who say they are country fans have forgotten that, shortly before he died, the Man in Black covered “Hurt” by Nine Inch Nails. He was one of the “Rock & Roll” bad boys in the 50’s. I’m certain Mr. Cash would’ve been “totally stoked” to hear this kid’s version of his song. I hope Adam Lambert releases it as a single, or on an album, some day soon. I will certainly run out & buy it.

  • labelle Says:

  • Joseph Aulde Says:

I have seen almost every performance Adam has done on American Idol and though others have impressed me, Adam Lambert is the single best in my opinion, and Ring of Fire has shown that he can take a song that used to seem sad and created a song that burns white hot!
This dude will have a solid gold future in music and will be awarded in every genre he chooses to play with.
    Adam is sensational!!!

  • sher zumo Says:

Great verson of this old song. An Adam version.
what went wrong with the voting on this show. Someone tampered with the voting system somehow.A computer program or somthing. comon intellect tells you a cheater is in the midst.Find out the truth instead of making questioning americans except stupid reasons. If it was because he was different or because america questioned his sexuality, he would have never made it to the top two. Cheating occured somewhere. It just did and america wants to know where before they will watch or waste votes next year.

  • catherine Says:

I’m just now catching up to all of the American Idol buzz because I couldn’t watch it when it was airing. I absolutely love Adam and loved his version of Ring of Fire! It was brilliant, intriguing, and genius! BTW- to whoever didn’t know who June Carter was– she’s the one that wrote the song!

  • Allison Says:

I loved love love this song. I listen to it over and over again. I can’t believe his vocal capabilities….sometimes it sounds like there are 2 of him singing. It’s crazy good. Clay is a freaking idiot that just wants some plublicity.

Great points addressed here. I am grateful to you for that, still you deserve more thanks than that. I have color blindness. I mainly use Firefox web browser and consider a number of sites are challenging to grasp thanks to a incautious range of colors used. Yet, here, as the range of colors is great, the design is extremely tidy and enjoyable to comprehend. I don’t know whether it was a premeditated and intended attempting, or just the ‘luck of the draw’, but I still thank you.
