Lets hope and PRAY that Adam does not win. I mean SERIOUSLY what kind of successful solo artist could he possibly be? He’s been compared to the likes of leading band members Steven Tyler and Mick Jagger…but they are part of successful bands! Not to mention their age… I can say as a classically trained musician that I would buy Danny’s and Kris’s records any day of the week, but I would never even give Adam’s a second glance and I haven’t met a person yet who disagrees with me.

Sorry Oklahoma mama, but I completely disagree with you…. and the fact that you say you have not yet met a person who disagrees with you, hmmmm…. perhaps this is true amongst your friends, but look on-line you will see there are a plethora of people who disagree with you. Adam is the best AI contestant ever in my opinion. Seriously Danny and Kris have good voices, but that is all. However, Adam’s voice and his range…absolutely incredible!! Furthermore, I could only see myself going to an Adam concert, he works the whole stage. Danny and Kris hug their microphones. I cannot wait until Adam releases an album and though the other two contestants are talented, I can definitely say that I am not at all interested in their future albums. I am looking forward to Adam’s career.

I totally agree with Kayra! He is amazing and the only reason I’m following American Idol this year. He makes the whole show exciting! Danny and Kris are good but cannot compare with Adam. Think about it, how many singers can sing like him these days? He is truly a rare gem. Adam has got everyone excited and shaken up and brought something new to the show! He will be very very very successful in his career and noone is ever going to forget his face and his name. GO ADAM!

well dont know if oklahoma mama been outta her home town but my relatives in new york who were profesrional artists in a range of musical styles say adam is talented and i will take the words of people who hav played with the likes of billy joel etc over your opinion o m. Yes kris and danny are good singers but we would not buy their albums sorry. But a bunch of us are planning a trip to the u s to see the ai show and tha ts cos of adam. Sorry

Add another who TOTALLY disagrees with Oklahoma mama. I won’t even watch the finals if Adam isn’t in them. I have NO interest in purchasing Taylor’s …oops… I mean Danny or Kris’ albums. On the other hand I will be in line anxiously waiting for Adam’s album to hit the store. And to add…several friends and I have NEVER been to an Idol Tour concert but because of Adam and Allison we have bought tickets for this summer’s tour.

Adam is the MOST talented person ever stepped on that stage, and i mean we’ve seen some good performances before. My husband prefers classics like Andrea Bocelli, and after I made him watch all Adam’s performances on-line, he put Adam in the same ranks. And he is a music critic and knows his stuff, trust me… if he says someone is amazing, i trust his words more then anything else. Go Adam !!

That is a very strange statement made by oklahoma mama, indeed. Let me just say that I am a classically-trained musician with international experience. My mother is also a music teacher, and we are in awe of Adam’s talent. My mother does not ordinarily like the genre that Adam tends to go for, but the bottom line is that it is simply undeniable – Adam is amazing. I think all the contestants are nice, but I am sorry – there is absolutely no comparison. The closest one to him was Allison, and unfortunately, she was voted off early. This is exactly why I do not like these kinds of shows, because it turns into a popularity contest instead of being a real talent competition. I really wish that people’s judgments would not be clouded by all the unrelated stuff. Let’s not kid ourselves. It would be a total travesty if Adam does not win.

Oklahoma Mama…I think you need to go back to training and realize that you must be living in a bubble if you think everyone is agreeing w/you that Adam is no good but Danny/Kris are!! Adam is, by FAR, the most talented, charasmatic, humble (but with confidence), amazing ARTIST w/the craziest range I’ve EVER seen/heard!!! He rocks! Danny was just…boring! Don’t know how else to put it. He sounded the same no matter what genre he was performing, he had no stage presence, and seemed sort of cocky (which is sad no matter what but REALLY sad when you’re like that and you suck!!!). So glad he’s gone!!! Now as far as those that say Adam is a performer and not a recording artist…all I can say is the proof is in the material. Try listening too the studio versions of every song he’s recorded thus far and then tell me he’s not a recording artist. He has so much range and such a smooth/pleasant sounding voice. Regardless if he wins or not he’ll be a huge star. Probably the biggest to ever come out of idol. He’s just got it…great voice, great attitude, and have I mentioned he’s really nice to look at?? Oh yeah!! Yummmmmmmmmmy!!!!!

I’m shocked that there is still so much hate in the world! It’s too bad many people cannot get a real life and stop judging people for what they look like, etc. Adam has been nothing but polite and respectful. He always thanks the people who have helped him ie, the musicians. Adam has been THE reason to watch American Idol this season! It would have been terribly boring without him and no one may ever be able to match the creativity he has brought to the stage. I cannot wait to see what he does each week! Adam has done his time doing theatre and now has the chance to fufill his dreams for a solo career. I, for one, want to thank him for delighting us for the past 11 weeks! Adam…no matter what happens next week… you will always be THE ONLY American Idol for many of us! If you are ever on Cape Cod stop by…we love everyone for who they are!!

Wow, have the comments gone off topic for this post. I think it’s funny hearing Simon say that now we know that Kris made the top 2!
Simon has been promoting Danny for the final throughout this season (he has been directly comparing Kris with Danny since way back in the top 36 performances). Simon has been incapable of understanding why Kris’ popularity was growing so much. The one ‘glitch’ that left us able to see the top contestant downloads on iTunes showed Adam with 6 songs in the Idol top 10 and Kris second with 3 in the top 10. Danny had just 1 (which ranked #9 out of the 10).
I am thrilled that both Adam & Kris are in the final. They have been my 2 favorites all season (for totally different reasons because they both have such different voices, styles & musical strengths). I think this will be a really exciting finale. Both Adam & Kris are unexpected & creative with their song choices and performances. And they are both really nice people who seem to get along together really well. This week Adam gave Kris a blue nail-polished finger, and took the nail-polish off of one his own fingers [so that between them they had a total of 10 polished nails]. I have a lot of respect for Adam after he praised Kris and Danny’s performances at the end of the top 3 performances show on Tuesday night (saying, “I think Kris & Danny did really well tonight. I was watching backstage, they’re incredible. It’s an honor to be in their presence, it’s an honor to be in their company. They’re both really talented, and we’ll see what happens”).
And Kris & Adam’s mothers gave each other a big proud-mama hug when they found out their boys were in the finals together.

I wonder where Oklahoma mama got her musical training at! I totally agree with Kyra and LFPerry said it best. Adam definatly got the attention of people across the generation gap. There is no question in my mind that Adam’s awesome talent and voice has and will continue to add a little more zip in people’s everyday life. That translates into album sales. Chris, however, will soon be forgotten. Adam you have touched me with you incredible voice and I can not wait for your first album. Thank you.
By the way, I have not bought a CD in years because there has not been anything really good out there.

I was going to give up on Idol this year and then along came Adam. He is one of the freshest voices to come along in a LONG time. He has the full package ~ voice AND artistic talent. It is a shame that people are voting AGAINST him because of the way he looks or because of some preconceived notion of him. If you really look back at each of his perfomances, he has always been gracious, never arrogant.. always giving thanks and praise to those around him. If Adam is to win this, and he should win, we all need to put out the votes, bigtime. Either way, I will be one of the first to buy his first album and as for Kris, he will fade into the background like most of the past Idols. BTW, where is David Cook and Rubin Studdard or Taylor Hicks ~ pretty much gone, if you ask me but Adam will turn out some of the most memorable music and we WILL remember him for his amazing talent and artistic wonder. GO ADAM ~ YOU are the American Idol, no matter how this turns out. As for Oklahoma Mama…. maybe you should give some thought to a hear aid????? Just an idea hun.

Adam was always going to be in the finals, but I am glad that it is an Adam/Kris final not an Adam/Danny Final. I disagree with Simon, I think this will be a really tough competition but I am really praying that Adam wins. He deserives it sooooo much. As for Oklahoma mamas comment, I disagree, I’m from England and I’ve been following every performance, downloading the studio versions and really hoping for his sake that he wins. My friends, who don’t even watch the show, listen to Adams music and like it… he’s a true artist. I do hope that Kris is a success too, he as a Jason Mraz kind of appeal. So the game is on!

Today is May 18th. Since the onslaught of bad articles last week, Adam seems in bad stead. For a reason I totally cannot grasp, that yokel Kris may win. I felt this when Danny was booted because the type who votes for these middle America, blah types are now one unit. There is unequivocal belief that Adam is the winner, that Adam is the king, and he is. He touches every fiber of me. When Kris is on, it’s like the elevator ride for a slow walk to the bathroom. I am truly disgusted that America has so many sheep in it. No wonder the government leads us around too. Adam will be a world star regardless, but come on, Kris is a joke.I did have a good note this morning……The Vegas bookies have Adam at 1 to 4 (bet 4, lose 3) and Kris is 5 to 2 (bet 2, win 5), so Adam is still the odds on favorite.

Adam lambert totally deserves to win he’s had continuous flawless performances so it only seems fair that he wins AI! He’s so talented and I honestly wish I had the money to go see the tour hoping to contact simon cowell to see if the AI tour could hit Britain! My fingers are completely crossed I really want to see and hear the perfectly harmonic tones of Adam Lambert!

Adam is the most talented, the best performer on AI in its history. He is an extremely superb entertainer par excellence. He has worldwide appeal surpassing past idols, and he has not even won yet.
I agree with Simon, Kris is a good singer, but next to Adam, there is just no competition, sorry Kris fans.
Adam is pure talent plus a little experience and charisma, not to mention good looks. He has the IT factor necessary to be successful worldwide. So if the show is looking for a star to sell, Adam fits the role and he delivers. The producers won’t be shortchanged.
On another topic, did anyone notice that Kris did not even wear clothes fitting the venue for the final showdown? Even the judges were dressed up, come on Kris, at least 50 million people were watching, at least put on a good show, and he just did not deliver. (2nd performance) Sorry Kris fans.
I felt bad for Kris singing No Boundaries song, he was struggling. It was awful. It was brave of him to even attempt to sing it though, knowing of course it was not even in his range.
GO ADAM. YOU ARE THE BEST, even if you won’t get the votes necessary for some reason. YOU ARE A STAR ALREADY, and you will sell more than any of them Worldwide.

FOR ‘BEAUTIFULL’ (comment above saying how they hateadam) you have no right to hate adam. i respect if you dont likehis singing and want kris to win, theres nothing wrong with that but adam is the nicest, humble person there is. he always thanks the judges, is super kind to his fans, and is just the sweetest person ever. that was very rude and even know your voting for kris i bet he thought that was low to say how you hated adam.

I know it’s easy to be distracted by Adam, but the fact of the matter is that Kris is a talented singer, totally deserving of being in the final two, and totally deserving of winning.
I’m a fan of both, but I was still surprised at the result. The media swayed me (and many others, it seems) into thinking an Adam victory was assured. I’m glad to see Kris triumph despite all the attempts by the judges to halt his momentum.
Looking forward to both of their music careers!

I do not think anybody was trying to halt “Kris” momentum”, but you had to be deaf not to realize the poor guy was dying tring to sing “No boundaries”. I felt sorry for him, but feeling sorry for somebody who needs a break (as he is so apparently inferior to Adam) should not be the criterium for picking a winner. Adam is better than most established stars. Thank you for making 2009 Idol the most entertaing ever, I will buy your album. If they make a compilation of all his performances on AI this year, I would buy that in half a heartbeat.

I partly agree and partly disagree. I agree with Simon that Adam should be in the finals (AND HE WAS!!! YAY!) Want my reasons Oklahoma momma? Okay, well first: have you EVER seen someone deliver a performance the way adam does? no, you havent.
second: he can hit high notes like nobodys bussiness and still talk (and sing beautifully) the next day.
third: if you really dont care about the singing part of the competition, adam is just an all-around nice guy. he is gracious for every compliment he gets, and strives for success for himself and others. also, he is a huge kris supporter and thats so sweet! :]
fourth: LOOK AT THAT GUY!!! please tell me that is not hott and be telling the truth!! oh wait.. YOU CANTTT!!!!

Once i asked a kris allen fan who despised adam to death, told me that the only reason why she hated him was because he was gay. It’s just all funny that people are judged based on who they are, but not for their incredible innate talent. I bet kris allen fans are people who have just one concept of singers and lack the ability to appreciate Adam’s avant garde yet classic style. They’re just retarded. And Kris allen fans, don’t blame Adam for this article, because this is only Simon Cowell’s opinion, not his.
